Role Summary:


GAS and LNG Lead – Asia Pacific

The role may, from time to time, involve acting as an expert witness in legal proceedings related to the candidate’s field of expertise. GCA’s regional practise involves highly confidential advisory services to host governments, taxation, and regulatory agencies, thus a high degree of professionalism and integrity is required.


Essential Responsibilities:

  • Build on existing GCA relationships and develop further relationships to establish the company as a leader in the gas and LNG advisory services sector

  • Originate and assist in delivery of advisory jobs, working closely with GCA colleagues in Singapore and globally

  • Provide input into wider GCA project portfolio, where specialist gas and LNG input is required

  • Increase company revenues and profitability from gas and LNG related services

  • Autonomously develop gas and LNG practice in AP, with potential to grow the team in the region

  • Identify and communicate trends within the gas and LNG sector and tune advisory offerings to suit

  • Participate in industry events, within an agreed annual business plan, to expand GCAs brand in the gas and LNG sector


  • Masters degree/MBA in a relevant discipline is preferred

  • Minimum 15 years energy sector experience, of which 5 years should have been in a role focused on gas, or LNG

  • Broad commercial and technical expertize of the gas / LNG space required

  • Experience working on major gas or LNG-to-power projects would be an advantage

  • Experience in a consulting role, with origination and project management roles would be a distinct advantage

  • A proven track record of work on global gas and LNG projects, ideally with experience in more than one global region

  • Excellent communications skills in English (verbal and written)

  • Second language (particularly Southeast Asian regional) and/or experience working within diverse business and social cultures is an advantage,

  • Skilled in key management software (eg Excel, Powerpoint, Word etc)

  • High integrity, able rapidly to develop trust and confidence within client base and the wider GCA environment

  • Conceptual thinker, but with attention to detail, able to produce high quality work product with minimal supervision

  • Results-oriented and time sensitive- able to assure completion of client deliverables on time and to GCA quality standards
