Baker Hughes, a GE company has an opening for a Quality Control (QC) Inspector at our Perforating Technology Center located in Hempstead, TX. This inspector will play a key role in the quality and safety of perforators and ballistic assemblies. We produce products for Completions & Wellbore Intervention and Wireline services.
QC Inspector is responsible for testing raw materials, in-process products, and final testing.
Will maintain databases, test reports, SAP, and other documentation requirements.
- Receiving Inspection of Metal Powders and Explosive Powders.
- In-process Inspection of metal powder blending, input materials, process verification, pressing operations.
Explosive Press Operation-visual inspection, press settings.
Final Inspection and testing of - Shaped charges, explosive materials inventory, API target testing, and other ballistic assemblies.
Maintain materials and documents in accordance with regulatory requirements.
High School Diploma or GED
3+ years of inspection experience including metal powder and explosive powders
Knowledge of dimensional inspection
Testing methods for metal powder and explosive powders
Required or must be able to obtain Security and ATF Clearance
Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
Dimensional Inspection Experience
ASQ – CQT, CMI
Lean Six Sigma
