Role Summary:
The Material Handler II - 1st Shift position serves in an important role of expediting accurate parts and component shipments to our customers and service centers. It is key that the selected candidate be able to focus on key details while maintaining a safety and quality-focused work environment.

Essential Responsibilities:
In the role of Material Handler II you will:

  • Store and consolidate goods and materials into appropriate stock locations
  • Move materials from separate buildings to stock locations, as required
  • Pull materials for production work orders in a manufacturing environment
  • Pick orders for domestic and international shipment
  • Photograph and document images of packed goods for domestic and international shipment
  • Schedule trucking to deliver materials within North America
  • Process delivered goods for receipt into ERP system and perform receipt transactions
  • Load and unload various types of trucks / trailers
  • Operate overhead cranes and hoists
  • Work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Pack materials including hazmat per written procedures and federal regulations
  • Process bills of lading, commercial invoices and other shipping documents
  • Inspect goods for visual signs of damage or corrosion
  • Operate various types of forklift equipment up to 36,000 lb. capacity
  • Fill back ordered material for shorted work orders
  • Use RF scanner guns to receive / stock / issue / move materials within ERP system
  • Spend at least 2 hours a day on a forklift
  • Support all company safety and environmental policies-
  • Support internal and external customers’ needs and requirements

    Qualifications/Requirements:
  • High School Diploma / GED from an accredited school or institution
  • Minimum 1 year of warehouse or material handler experience in a manufacturing environment

    Eligibility Requirements:

  • Operate a forklift and complete certification
  • Work overtime, weekends and holidays, as required
  • Work in a constant pushing, pulling, lifting, stretching, bending and other physical activities
  • Be in the shop environment a minimum of 8 hours per day, primarily standing and sitting, as required
  • Lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Be subjected to extreme heat for extended periods of time

    Desired Characteristics:
  • Forklift license
  • Stand-up forklift experience
  • General computer skills
  • Inventory control experience
  • Experience with RF scan guns
