Role Summary:
The Digital Communications Leader for BHGE will support our Chief Digital Officer in driving business transformation and thought leadership positioning for BHGE in the oil and gas sector. In this critical role, s/he will help bring the digital strategy of BGHE to life, developing strategic communications plans and programs to execute on this vision.

Essential Responsibilities:
Serving as a strategic counselor to the digital organization, this role sits on the Digital Leadership Team. He/she also integrates the BHGE digital strategy across the broader communications function, sitting on the BHGE Global Communications Leadership Team.

With one direct report, the successful candidate will be a proactive strategist with integrated corporate communications experience, who can lead, develop, execute and measure successful integrated communications programs that deliver business outcomes.

In the role of Digital Communications Lead, you will:

  • Develop clear digital and software messaging framework and align messaging across BHGE including all product companies, collaborating closely with GE Digital, Regions and GE Corporate
  • Develop thought leadership platforms to position BHGE’s leadership of digital transformation in the oil and gas sector
  • Identify and support high profile speaking opportunities for Chief Digital Officer and other BHGE digital leaders
  • Develop an external affairs strategy to engage key stakeholders- media, social and other influencers in the oil and gas and digital industries and serve as the Digital key media spokesperson where authorized
  • Create content, and creative social plans that drive customer and stakeholder engagement
  • Lead the planning and management of all digital events- internally led and external industry events with digital and software opportunities. Manage agencies to or outside parties in the delivery where necessary
  • Serve as strategic counselor and advisor to the BHGE Digital team while also coordinating with GE Corporate and GE Digital teams
  • Partner closely with the global communications Culture team and HR to build employee engagement programs to educate and engage employees around the BHGE digital strategy and celebrate success
  • Partner with the BHGE Product Marketing team in developing strategic communications plans for new product introductions and amplification of existing products / solutions
  • Establish metrics to measure and report on value being delivered by the position

    Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing, or Business from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in digital marketing management

    Eligibility Requirements

  • Travel up to 10%+ of the time, as required

    Desired Characteristics:
  • Experienced software marketing or communications professional with minimum 10 years of experience in the B2B space
  • Experience working with complex enterprise software applications; SaaS/PaaS experience a plus
  • Passion for technology and the ability to translate technology capabilities into compelling messaging and storytelling for CxO audience
  • Excellent people and agency management, project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to effectively juggle content strategy and development that spans from highly creative to technical
  • Self-starter able to work successfully across complex matrix of stakeholders
  • Effective communicator in both verbal & written presentations
  • Clear-thinker, good listener, externally focused, problem-solver
  • Interpersonal skills with ability to embrace & drive change in a matrixed environment
  • Experience leading and/or direct involvement in large-scale projects and programs
  • Demonstrated problem solving and creative skills, ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on business, market and customer trends
  • Demonstrated achievement & leadership in commercial and/or marketing roles
  • Ability to perform in a high-pressure environment juggling and executing on multiple priorities
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, strategic agility, manage diversity and drive for results
