The Hardware Engineering Director will lead hardware technology teams at BHGE Bently Nevada in delivering best in class industrial assets protection and monitoring solutions.
In the role of Bently Nevada Technology Hardware Engineering Director, you will:
Own team metrics for defect free, on time, new technology developments and introductions, including a tight integration with the Software development team
<Formulate a long-term vision and strategy closely working with the product line leaders for the Bently Nevada hardware and system solutions, Employee performance management and development, Insure financial performance, identification of investment needs, and preparation of budgets
Be responsible for growing organization depth and developing talent form both a leadership and technical perspective
Coach direct reports and provide feedback on performance, Drive “Can do” leadership culture where integrity rules, Engage technical / functional experts across the business to Initiate short-term business support programs as required and assisting the teams’ prioritization
Integrate and energize a global technology team and serve as primary technical point of contact for Bently hardware topics
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronic, Civil or Software Engineering, or related discipline within Industrial Technology from an accredited college or university
Minimum 8 years of experience in industrial electronics controls, protection, monitoring device platform development and/or related system applications
Minimum 5 years direct report management experience
Master’s in Business Administration or related field from an accredited college or university
Demonstrated leadership skills
Demonstrated ability to meet goals and objectives
Demonstrated technical depth and breadth, strong experience on electronic system design and validation and verification techniques
Strong interpersonal skills with ability to energize the team to tackle challenging projects and to generate innovative ideas
Exceptional communication skills and ability to coordinate teams in a global environment
Former management / leadership experience in matrixed organization
Expertise in electronics, instrumentation and/or control systems
Expertise in vibration measurement devices, eddy current, seismic
Expertise in signal processing and estimation
Expertise electronics and embedded systems components and software.
Industrial domain knowledge in Energy and Oil and Gas equipment, operations and maintenance
Experience with systems requirements, system optimization and design documentation for safety critical systems
Six Sigma Green Belt certified (BHGE employees only)
