The global Supply Chain Finance Leader provides overall financial leadership to the global Supply Chain leader and the SC team for the GE Inspection and Technologies business. The business has
manufacturing sites in the US, Germany, Slovakia and China.
From a Supply Chain perspective lead planning cycles including developing estimates, operating plans/forecasts/reviews, SII (1-year Plan); OP (operating plan/budget), short range forecasts weekly QMI and rest of-year outlook) and long range plans.
From a Supply Chain perspective responsible for monthly/quarterly closings and reporting including granular analyses on key metrics such as CoGS, Variable Cost Productivity, Inventory,
Obso, Fifo, Inlf/Deflation, Leverage and Contribution Margin. Communicate current results and estimates to business leaders, including advising the leadership team on risks and opportunities on a timely basis.
Understand, communicate and explain variance drivers within the business. Segment them into unusuals, and operating drivers and identify root cause and action owners.
Be closely aligned to the HQ SC Finance Leader and drive Cost Accounting process standardization &
improvements across the operating businesses in all aspects of planning, reporting and best practice sharing. The role also includes responsibility for ERP roll-outs and constant operational systems improvement.
Be a critical team member to the SC operations team in supporting ad hoc projects and analysis.
Active participation on several Controllership activities such as SOX audit, Inventory review, contact person for KPMG Germany.
Dotted-line or solid reporting line to a team of ~ 8 members, located in manufacturing site across the globe.
Graduate of GE's Financial Management Program (FMP), Experienced Financial Leadership Program (EFLP) or Corporate Audit Staff (CAS); or graduate of other financial leadership programs.
Financial experience within a manufacturing environment. Understanding of basic Manufacturing process & data source like Bill of Material, Bill of Labor, Purchasing, Order Handling, Manufacturing Shop Orders etc.
Strong analytical skills: able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change
Clear thinking/problem solving: successfully led projects/process improvements within operations/finance functions; able to quickly grasp new ideas
Adaptable/Flexible: being open to change in response to new information different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous situations
Integrity: accepting and adhering to high moral, ethical, and personal values in decisions, communications, actions and when dealing with others
Confidence/Assertiveness: strong influencing skills across business functions
Experience working in a matrix environment
Solid PC skills: experience with financial systems/applications (i.e.: Oracle, SAP, HFM, etc.), strong Excel skills in data compilation and aggregation (i.e. pivot tables, Vlookup and macros)
