Role Summary: As the Digital Leader with the Oil & Gas Technology Center (OGTC), you will lead OGTC’s digital strategy and establish a team to identify and develop new Industrial Internet (IIOT) solutions and service offerings. These solutions will improve reliability, availability, performance or operations of industrial equipment to enhance oil production and increase profitability for our customers.
Essential Responsibilities: In the role of Digital Leader you will:
Work with Enterprise Technology Leaders to develop a digital vision, research strategies, and technical roadmaps in each of their respective disciplines
Build capability and coordination within BHGE in 4 key areas: Edge and Automation, Data Analytics, Emerging Digital Technologies, and Software development for prototyping and piloting
Lead, develop and grow the digital team and develop the organizational structure for the team within Enterprise Technology (OGTC, DTV, and PC specific technology centers)
Work closely with BHGE Digital to build a pipeline of innovations for enterprise Digital SaaS products such as IntelliStream, Asset Performance Management, etc.
Collaborate with BHGE business units and customers (domestic and global) to understand their requirements and develop digital technology based solutions to meet their needs
Coordinate with counterparts at GE Global Research and on key initiatives such as Digital Twin , Artificial Intelligence, Edge OS, Robotics, etc.
Work with OGTC Technology Leaders and BHGE business units to identify analytic gaps and propose disruptive technology projects relevant for BHGE and its customers to address these gaps
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or closely related discipline
Minimum 15 years of working in a research environment or new technology development organization, with at least 5 years shaping and guiding technology vision and road maps
Eligibility Requirements: Legal Authorization to work in the U.S. is required. GE may agree to sponsor an individual for an employment visa now or in the future if there is shortage of individuals with particular skills.
Experience growing multi-disciplinary research team in matrix organization
Demonstrate experience leading teams developing software & analytics solutions
Knowledge of engineering analysis methods, mechanical & electrical systems, software systems, and advanced analytics methods
