Role Summary:
 
Baker Hughes, a GE company has an opening for an Electronic Technician to maintain and repair equipment for Artificial Lift Services at our facility in Claremore, OK.
 
Essential Responsibilities:
 
  • Maintain and repair electronic equipment, such as PLC controllers, VFD drives, extrusion equipment, heating systems, boilers, and conveyors. They may be responsible for installing, inspecting, and improving the efficiency in equipment as well.
  • Install electronic equipment using various power tools and machinery, including drill presses, pipe threaders’, grinders, hoists, measuring devices, and testing equipment.
  • Inspect and maintain existing equipment using similar tools, such as voltmeters and PC-based diagnostic software.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot complex problems. 
  • Replace existing equipment based on age and operation.
  • Maintain continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
  • Maintain safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
 
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Technical diploma or Associates degree in Electronics or Mechanical field.
  • Competent in fluid power technology, AC/DC circuits and electro-mechanical devices.
  • Proficient in the use of oscilloscopes.
  • 3+ years maintenance related experience in electro-mechanical function or minimum 3 years relevant industrial experience (airline, military, oilfield, automotive, electronic).
Desired Characteristics:
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly prints and parts lists and follow formal procedures and maintenance practices.
  • Proficient in the use of measurement and gauging equipment and processes.
  • Proficient in the use of millimeters, megohmmeters, hi-pot testers and other basic instruments.
  • Advanced level of analytical ability to find solutions to complex technical problems.
  • Advanced skills in soldering and assembling of electro-mechanical devices.
  • Advanced computer skills
