Role Summary:
 
At Baker Hughes a GE company, the Lead Materials Planning & Execution Specialist is responsible for driving initiatives and projects for improving the inventory levels at the manufacturing locations, as well as coordinating all ongoing activities and handling special tasks on demand for our Drilling Services product line.  The area of responsibility includes all Drilling Services manufacturing locations.
 
Essential Responsibilities:
 
 
  • Position manufacturing closer to a just in time manufacturing to lower inventory exposure
  • Full support of the manufacturing strategies to meet set goals
  • Build a process to simulate new demand load to do capacity analysis upfront
  • Develop with all stakeholder Vendor Managed and/or Supplier Owned inventory strategies
  • Build up a raw material strategy with all stakeholder to meet business needs
  • Further fine-tune/improve the inventory planning process (including the inventory drivers) to make process more efficient
  • Ensure stable and successful cooperation with corresponding manufacturing areas like the business unit managers, purchasing and others
  • Improve Inventory planning process for materials affected by TB/ECO/ECR changes including Entry/Exit strategy
  • Track and control of demand, as well as required supply cancellations
  • Control of the Manufacturing forecast process
  • Work on inventory planning activities incl. analysis (e.g. Turn analysis forecasted vs. non-forecasted materials, turn simulation) and development of strategies
  • Automate processes
  • Maintain relevant BHOS documentation
  • Develop/Implement Manufacturing Inventory Dashboard incl. Achievements of inventory reduction/avoidance
  • Development and implementation of control chart for specified areas
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis and/or presentations as needed
 
 
Qualifications/Requirements:
 
  • Bachelor Degree and/or about 5 years’ experience within Supply Chain or AMO
  • Very strong communication and personal skills
  • Technical knowledge and engineering understanding towards Drilling Services
  • Presentation skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships
  • Ability to lead thru influence
  • Highly motivated dedicated personality
  • Advanced SAP skills
  • Strong analytical skills
 
Desired Characteristics:
 
  • Project Management Skills/Green Belt Certification
  • APICS certification
