Role Summary

Baker Hughes A GE Company (BHGE) offers the opportunity as an experienced Onshore Engineer in Bangkok, Thailand

Essential Responsibilities
  • Make recommendations to the COMPANY designated personnel to issue chemical requests and purchase orders for the Facilities so that shortfalls of chemicals never occur, through proper stock management and close monitoring of chemical consumption at the Facilities.

  • Receives and accurately checks chemicals off against manifests and purchase orders, updates the computer record accordingly and prepares and distributes a material received summary.

  • Records the issue and updates the computer record accordingly. Liaise with COMPANY’s designated personnel when any chemical stock level falls beneath the set minimum.

  • Monitors the operations ensure the Field Facilities are being treated within chemical treatment design parameters.

  • Maintains a close working relationship with the COMPANY Offshore Personnel so that information regarding the operation and performance of the chemical application is freely communicated.

  • He/she appraises COMPANY’s designated personnel over the performance of machinery and systems and ensures any deficiencies are reported immediately in order to maintain uninterrupted operation.

  • Lead chemical treatment program health checks and total system audits

  • Deliver detailed reports and analysis for projects, field trials and product selection and development activities

  • Present technical solutions to reduce Total Cost of Ownership (WCO)

  • Ensures that planned maintenance activities for the Chemical Treatment Program are performed correctly, timely, and in an efficient manner.

  • Monitors corrosion rates and chemical injection systems at the Facilities, as and when necessary

  • Systematically updates minimum and maximum stock levels under the direction of CONTRACTOR Account Manager.

  • Participates in chemical stock audits and takes corrective actions where identified.

  • Has intimate knowledge of laboratory operational and environmental safety procedures.

  • Undertakes training to others on laboratory procedures.

  • Provides a daily/ weekly and monthly activity reports by briefly describing the activities progress, outstanding issues, and plans for the coming days, weeks and months, to COMPANY designated personnel

  • Undertakes other duties as directed by COMPANY’s designated personnel

  • Take and analyze the following, but not necessarily limited to: samples, BS&W analysis and calculations, specific gravity of oil and water, measure oil salt content, produced water pH, Fe, and SRB’s, ODME ppm; Corrosion monitoring, on-line instrumentation, coupon tracking and weight loss measurement; Chemical dosing analysis and calculations; pour point measurement, Oxygen measurement. 

  • 3 year technical degree or 4 year non-technical degree or international equivalent degree. Industry experience and product line training required.

  • Comprehensive, specialized technical knowledge of company's products and services, customer requirements and competitive market

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Proven negotiating skills.
