Role Summary:
 

Baker Hughes, a GE company has an opening for an Assistant Supervisor – 2nd Shift to support Artificial Lift in the Stuart Roosa facility in Claremore, OK.

 
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Works directly in the assembly or manufacture of a product sold by the company
  • Assume the role of supervisor during the supervisor's absence such as vacation approvals, meetings, etc)
  • Lead the daily work of employees to ensure compliance with health, safety, environment and quality programs 
  • Coordinate activities with supervisor regarding daily duties and long range work schedules 
  • Recommend and schedule overtime as needed.  Ensure compliance with company policies 
  • Maintain department records as required
  • Perform advanced technical duties as required which may include: CNC Machining, Welding, Assembly, and Chemical and Fluids Operations 
  • Requires working overtime and responding to emergency call-outs when necessary  Must be flexible with shift assignment and be able to work in any department 
  • Maintains more than 50% direct production hours 
  • May give feedback on employee’s performance for year-end evaluation purposes
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3+ years’ experience in manufacturing
  • Understanding of all processes, procedures and safety risks associated with one or more of the plant processing areas
  • Demonstrate leadership and personal discipline in performing all assigned tasks to ensure product quality and safe operation for all employees
  • Knowledge of products and/or understanding of QC analysis adjustments
  • Knowledge of required transactions performed in manufacturing database
  • Ability to perform technical skills at a high level within a specific area of expertise
  • Demonstrate /communication skills and the ability to work and communicate effectively with others
  • Must demonstrate skills to learn new processes and exhibit strong attention to detail
  • Must be able to solve complex problems and multitask in a rapidly changing environment
  • Must possess a thorough knowledge of HS&E and quality guidelines and have demonstrated a commitment to the programs that support both
  • Must have proven leadership experience
  • Must have technical aptitude
Desired Characteristics:
  • Strong computer skills
  • Knowledge of SAP and programs in Microsoft Office
