Role Summary:
The Failities Support Specialist will be a critical member of the facilities management and operations team to ensure a safe, secure and reliable facility.

Essential Responsibilities:
In the role of Facilities Support Specialist, you will:

  • Be responsible for Operation budget tracking and financial analysis
  • Be responsible for Operation sourcing
  • Be responsible for overall facilities management coverage support
  • Be On-call rotation for off-hours coverage
  • Be responsible for the oversight of facilities maintenance and operations activities including electrical and mechanical preventative maintenance and repair.
  • Be responsible for the oversight of facilities light maintenance subcontractor for custodial, grounds, waste mgmt., and conferencing and event coordination staff.
  • Be responsible for the oversight of food service provider; knowledge of health inspection protocols or willingness to learn same
  • Be responsible for the oversight and coordination of elevator and fire protection facility service contractors
  • Be responsible for facility safety observations, tracking and corrective action implementation
  • Backup logistics coordinator, as well as oversight and coordination of existing primary logistics service contractor

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (OR High School Diploma / GED from an accredited school and 7 years’ experience in facility maintenance
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in facility maintenance

    Desired Characteristics:
  • Knowledge of Safety Risk Assessment, LOTO, Confined Space, Fall Protection, and Hot Work Permits – as well as other pertinent HSE programs – and willingness to take required associated safety training
  • Proven ability to work in a teaming environment requiring integrity, rapid response (at times), and anticipate current and future needs or issues before they arise
  • Ability to direct, teach, and coordinate contractors in a manner that earns trust and admiration
