Role Summary:

The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for all aspects of designing, validating, and documenting the mechanical hardware portion of released products. This person will have technical responsibilities within an existing sustaining organization.

Essential Responsibilities:
In the role of Mechanical Engineer, you will:Design, prototype, validate, perform cost out activities and release products for use in pipeline applications

  • Create product design specifications for hardware
  • Work on sustaining engineering projects as required
  • Organize and lead technical design reviews to ensure design meets product requirements and specifications
  • Liaise with management, peers, and other functional groups for project related activities
  • Maintain open communications with all organizational functions
  • Interprets, organizes, executes, and coordinates assignments and ensures that applicable goals and deadlines are met
  • Use Lean / Six Sigma principles
  • Any other duties as assigned by direct supervisor
  • Lead or participate on teams assigned to address organizational initiatives and generic issues
  • Provide technical leadership to personnel/ cross functional teams supporting the assigned project
  • Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum 5 year’s mechanical development engineering experience with strong competency in AutoCAD, Pro E and/or Solid Works

    Desired Characteristics:
  • Experienced and familiar with designing for natural gas applications
  • Have working knowledge of various design and regulatory requirements for PHSMA / DOT, ASTM and ASME standards and codes.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as machining, welding, and general fabrication
  • Solid interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with written, verbal, and communication skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
