Role Summary:
In the role of Production Planner, you will:

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Manage planning and scheduling activities to drive customer order fulfillment, production efficiency, optimal inventory levels, and continuous improvement across key supply chain business objectives
  • Develop production plans and schedules to support customer order fulfillment
  • Manage the backlog and the scheduling of new sales orders
  • Place major emphasis on meeting customer requirements and coordinating across functions
  • Establish clear communication channels to the production teams, Project Managers and Customer Care
  • Manage supply strategies, item planning parameters, and stocking levels
  • Develop and manage product forecasts in the SAP MRP system
  • Oversee the MRP system and scheduling tools for maximum efficiency
  • Provide guidance to Buyers on purchased part supply and demand
  • Initiate and drive projects for continuous improvement on inventory levels, cycle reductions, and cost reduction
  • Contribute supply chain inputs to NPI teams, and prepare ERP systems for successful product launch
  • Mentor the production areas on inventory accuracy – cycle count support, transaction training
  • Work in conjunction with cross-functional team to drive the team to attain weekly sales and fulfillment objectives
  • Maintain data accuracy in the ERP system for backlog ship dates, work orders, routings, and inventory
  • Process various requests and assignments in support of customer needs or business objectives
  • Maintain the highest level of EHS, safety, and quality standards

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (Or a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 7 years of experience in utilizing Planning Systems)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in utilizing Planning Systems

    Desired Characteristics:
  • SAP or equivalent ERP experience
  • Analytical, problem solving, and communication skills
  • Understanding of MRP, capacity planning, and lean concepts
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks at a time to meet delivery deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Demonstrated self-starter and highly motivated
