Role Summary:
The Manufacturing Engineer (ME) position provides technical manufacturing support for production work groups. Strong focus is placed upon process improvements, equipment procurement, and lean manufacturing as well as safety and ergonomics. They will also work closely with shop floor personnel, sustaining engineering, and process estimating to ensure the proper machinery and processes are utilized.

Essential Responsibilities:
In the role of Manufacturing Engineer, you will:

  • Define and control production process including tooling and equipment
  • Validate design specifications and shop floor application of new product, tools, or equipment. Includes Manufacturing Engineers.
  • Execute routine analyses using vested methods and technologies and/or contributes to technological developments in teams under supervision
  • Work together with people from the business unit
  • Contact are under guidance and/or geared towards collecting or giving technical information
  • Work within a team setting and / or under guidance
  • Alternatively: executing routine but complex analysis
  • Be responsible for specifying, justifying, procuring, and, installing new machinery and processes within the facility
  • Handle project management and the ability to facilitate cross functional teams

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university

    Desired Characteristics:
  • Welding Experience
  • Strong mechanical aptitude abilities
  • CREO, Solidworks or similar modeling experience
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Proven project management skills
  • Proficient in Auto-Cad software
  • Ability to work in shop floor environment
