Role Summary:
As a Field Applications Engineer, focused on Reuter-Stokes Products, you will partner with the Commercial and Sales Teams, and with the Customer to develop neutron and radiation detection solutions for Customer’s end use. Provide technical input during project scoping discussions with Customers

Essential Responsibilities:
In the role of Field Applications Engineer (Reuter-Stokes Products), you will:

  • Partner with the commercial and sales teams, and with the customer to develop neutron and radiation detection solutions for customer’s end use
  • Provide technical input during project scoping discussions with customers
  • Help customers scope a detector design based on the specifics of their application
  • Review existing designs to propose closest match to the customer’s request
  • Suggest changes to customer’s design specification for a better fit within established designs
  • Estimate gas usage and mix per detector
  • Review requested test requirements against existing process
  • Highlight any potential technical or supply chain risks to the Business
  • Assist in the development of technical proposals for complex neutron scattering and safeguard projects
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with a broad, world-wide customer base and effectively interface with internal functions to support customer requests both in the initial design and final testing phases
  • Provide post-sale customer support, including maintenance, operation, and troubleshooting
  • Support the following products: Gas filled sensors for neutron and gamma radiation detection in the areas of homeland security, nuclear safeguards, neutron scattering research, area radiation monitoring, and pressurized water reactors
  • Support the following industries: Neutron scattering materials research, International safeguards and homeland security, Oil & Gas exploration, Environmental monitoring for the nuclear industry and communities, specifically in conjunction with nuclear power plants, Reactor neutron measurements, primarily for the Pressurized Water Reactors (PWR) and research Reactors

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with neutron / gamma radiation

    Eligibility Requirements:

  • Travel 25% domestically and/or internationally, as required
