Upstream Chemicals Norway is looking for an ambitious summer intern that can assist the local organization during the summer months.
The role of summer intern involves assisting in basic logistic and operational tasks. You will be provided technical training, and are expected to utilize this knowledge in order to assist with technical projects. Production chemical knowledge is preferred, but not a requirement, however excellent organizational and project management skills is necessary.
Rigorously apply Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) standards in all situations using BHGE systems and procedures in service of maintaining and further developing the safety culture.
Coordinate operational activities together with the local Upstream Chemicals team; chemical deliveries, logistics, HSE, Quality Control etc.
Ability to follow instructions provided during training and utilize these in the work.
Support in coordinating and defining projects that meets customer requirements for effective project management.
Support technical service requests and recommendations by the technical group.
Support management of laboratory results and timely communication of these to the customer.
Support in documentation of contractual and sales project activities, including technical reports, account management reports, service reports etc.
Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
Ability to demonstrate a high level of problem solving skills.
Ability and motivated to learn new skillsets and competencies continuously.
Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
Bachelor’s, Master’s degree or equivalent that have included Chemistry courses (or other specialised process/plant qualification)
Good attention to detail with good analytical skills.
Excellent communication skills in both Norwegian and English
