Role Summary:


Responsible for the preparation of all outgoing goods, the checking and keypunching of all incoming goods, the safe loading and unloading of vehicles, and the distribution of goods throughout the facility.


Essential Responsibilities:


Goods Inwards

·         Unloading of vehicles

·         Checking of goods against delivery/advice notes

·         Keypunching of receipts onto SAP

·         Internal distribution to departments


·         Preparation and packaging for all outgoing goods

·         Preparation of goods and paperwork prior to dispatch

·         Loading of goods onto vehicles


·         Data input

·         Forklift / side loader operations

·         Liaising with different departments

·         Responsible for the Health, Safety and Welfare of personnel within the area

·         Pulling component parts to produce kits required to assemble tools.

·         Responsible for fulfilling individual goals and objectives as well as contributing to the goals and objectives of the team.

·         Responsible for adherence to: work instructions, procedures, processes and documentation relating to the assembly and warehouse department.

·         Ensure the work area is maintained in a safe and proper condition through correct handling and storage of equipment and tools.

·         Any Other Duties as Required




·         School certifications or equivalent

·         Experience of working in a warehouse environment (possibly gained over 3 years)

·         Experience of operating a forklift and the loading and unloading of vehicles

·         Previous experience in a manufacturing environment would be beneficial

·         Ability to read and interpret documents such as delivery notes, dispatch paperwork, customs declarations, safety instructions / manuals and procedure manuals,

·         Ability to operate and use PC’s with experience of using manufacturing systems, SAP and MS Office applications

·         Understanding of the responsibilities of housekeeping and safety processes for self and others, displaying an active interest & vigilance in the safety of others.

·         Ability to work safely and to ensure the safety of others 

·         Ability to recognize, solve & implement required changes for warehouse related problems.

·         Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.

·         Ability to work in a team and use own initiative

·         Certified ability to use Forklift is required.  Ability to use side-loader is beneficial

·         Ability to use a variety of manual/electric hand tools in relation to the packaging/unpackaging of goods

·         Skills in the use of Microsoft Office packages, including e-mail

·         Box making skills

·         Organisational skills

·         Communication skills 

·         Skills in the use of SAP would be beneficial

·         Skills in the use of Microsoft Office packages, including e-mail
