Role Summary:
We are looking for a motivated technician to join the Additive Manufacturing Team in Houston at Baker Hughes, a GE company. This individual will be part of a fast-paced exciting manufacturing technology which is helping drive value for BHGE products and supply chain.
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Operate DMLM machines in the Additive Manufacturing Lab at the Houston Technology Center, including:
    1. Machine setup
    2. Build removal
    3. Routine machine maintenance
  • Operate other AM support equipment, including wire EDM, bandsaw, manual grinder, beadblaster, parts washer, and tumbler
  • Keep parts moving in the manufacturing process, such as taking parts to and from QC and shipping and receiving
  • Assist in developing and implementing process improvement ideas
  • 10+ yrs experience in operating 3D printers (metal experience not required)
  • 10+ yrs working in a technician-oriented role
  • Willingness to perform manual labor
  • Willingness to perform non-routine requests such as fixing broken equipment
Desired Characteristics:
  • Experience working in continuous improvement culture
  • Experience operating a forklift
