Role Summary:
The Quality Technician II- Tester will be responsible for defined work or projects with moderate complexity. In this role, you will follow an individual work plan, meet day-to-day short-term objectives, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning.

Essential Responsibilities:
In the role of Quality Technician II - Tester, you will:

  • Be responsible for visual inspection and measurement of incoming product, material and packaging to ensure no major defects are being shipped out
  • Ensure correct quantity and quality of material have been received
  • Ensure all necessary documents for incoming material are obtained and accurate
  • Generate non-conformance reports for defective material
  • Be able to drive a forklift to move and distribute product
  • Manage MRB area and work with quality / engineering to ensure swift disposition of defective material
  • Manage material returned via the RMA process to ensure quick resolution of customer issues
  • Identify defect trends and report to quality / engineering
  • Be responsible for understanding and use of hydro static test equipment, test fixtures, and procedures
  • Conduct procedural hydro static tests on production product, including single components and assemblies
  • Troubleshoot leaks and other minor issues in hydro tester and ensure maintenance schedules on machine are followed
  • Be responsible for entering data into the Testing Record Data-base and ERP system accurately and timely
  • Maintain work area to be clean, organized, and safe following 5S standards

  • High School Diploma / GED from an accredited school or institution
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Manufacturing

    Eligibility Requirements:

  • Work overtime, weekends and holidays, as required
  • Work in a constant pushing, pulling, lifting, stretching, bending and other physical activities
  • Be in the shop environment a minimum of 8 hours per day, primarily standing and sitting, as required
  • Lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Be subjected to extreme heat for extended periods of time
  • Be able to read technical drawings, specifications, and procedures

    Desired Characteristics:
  • Prior experience in inspection processes for manufacturing industry with a strong focus in quality
  • Must be able to use standard Microsoft Office applications and other online tools
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Familiarity with Internal Quality Auditing for ISO 9001:2000
  • Strong data collection and analysis skills
  • Strong attention to detail in a fast paced environment
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Ability to use measuring devices
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
