Role Summary:
The Valve Assembly Lead will provide direction and leadership to a team of valve assembly technicians while assisting in the achievement of daily production schedules. The lead will also be responsible for valve assembly, calibration, and diagnostics of Masoneilan control valves and instruments, associated paperwork, valve diagnostics, digital control technology and the associated instrumentation.

Essential Responsibilities:
In the role of Valve Assembly Lead, you will:

  • Set daily priorities for the team as determined by supervisor
  • Solve problems, set direction, eliminate waste in process, own visual management processes
  • Act as a resource to attain all aspects of the production operation including safety, quality, scheduling and team development
  • Ensure alignment with department goals to attain business plan and support business commitments
  • Performs full range of assembly, calibrate, and diagnostics operations on various types and size of Masoneilan valves
  • Perform measurements with: torque wrenches, dial calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators
  • Train other technicians on valve assembly, test, calibration, and equipment as necessary
  • Apply advanced math skills to verify critical dimensions
  • Follow documented work instructions, verbal instructions, and drawings
  • Provide account manager support by phone and email
  • Be responsible for preventative maintenance on department equipment
  • Inventory management, customer training and focus on building and maintaining mutually beneficial relationships with product divisions is required
  • Report unusual conditions to the supervisor or manufacturing engineer
  • Possess strong attention to details and conscientious nature
  • Work with occasional pushing, pulling, lifting, stretching, bending, and other physical activities within an industrial environment
  • Be customer-driven / focused
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Be dedication to a safe work environment through effective housekeeping, workplace safety, etc.
  • Report out daily metrics to management staff
  • Perform other duties as required

  • High School Diploma / GED from an accredited school or institution
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in working with valves in oil & gas including 2 years of experience with Control Valve

    Eligibility Requirements:

  • Work overtime, weekends and holidays, as required
  • Work in a constant pushing, pulling, lifting, stretching, bending and other physical activities
  • Be in the shop environment a minimum of 8 hours per day, primarily standing and sitting, as require
  • Lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Read and interpret documents such as master schedule, safety rules, operating instructions, drawings/prints and procedure manuals
