Role Summary:

This position is responsible for managing and implementing the site Mechanical Integrity Program.  Modifies activities or procedures to accomplish this, and will also be actively involved in research of current or new stationary and rotary equipment to improve reliability and increase production efficiency to reduce operational costs.  Acts as a resource to ensure that piping is fabricated in accordance with local and company standards and specifications. Facilitate Root Cause Analysis/Focused Equipment Improvement Teams as needed.  Position also is responsible for supervising the Instrumentation and Electrical personnel of the Maintenance Department. 

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Leads Process Safety Management Mechanical Integrity effort
  • Supervise I&E Department and Boiler House operations personnel
  • Provides product support, manufacturing support and failure analysis
  • Recommends and implements improvements for equipment in the production process
  • Recommends appropriate materials and equipment to design, budget  and implement assigned projects
  • Performs standard engineering assignments
  • Develops and implements maintenance methods
  • Assist technical support teams in testing new applications and problem solving
  • Handles special projects as assigned
  • Reviews equipment inspections
  • B.S. Degree in Engineering
  • 8 years of experience working in an Industrial Manufacturing plant or related industry
  • 3 years of experience in a supervisory or project management roll
Desired Characteristics:
  • Good analytical skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Basic project management skills
  • Sound working knowledge of principles, concepts, theories and/or practices of engineering discipline
  • HSE knowledge
  • Experience in Chemical Manufacturing Plant or related industry
  • Knowledge and good understanding of Process Safety Management
  • Computer skills including AutoCAD, SAP and Maximo software a plus
  • ASME, ANSI Codes and regulations
  • Certified boiler operator license
