Role Summary:
The Quality Leader will improve the quality of products and processes within the BHGE Measurement & Sensing business Pressure portfolio to delight customers, satisfy regulators, improve operational efficiency and reduce cost of poor quality. The role has accountability to ensure quality systems, processes and operations of all global Pressure sites and functions are performing to support the growth and improvement targets of the business by driving a customer centric, total quality culture.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of quality managers with wing to wing quality responsibility for the M&S Pressure P&L
  • Improve cross functional business practices to drive the external quality perception of our products
  • Codify the Voice of Customer to enable development and value chain to improve design and/or execution
  • Drive timely and effective resolution of all Pressure customer issues
  • Identify, develop, and implement processes and programs needed to meet strategic Total Quality goals and objectives for the Pressure P&L
  • Promote a quality culture and zero defect mindset across all Pressure sites and functions, implement best practices and lessons learned across the global organization
  • Provide quality coaching and influence leadership, peers, and employees to drive continuous improvement and customer satisfaction
  • Ensure compliance with customer, industry, and regulatory standards
  • Sustain and improve an ISO9001 / AS9100 level Quality Management System of policies, standards, SOPs, and best practices
  • Keep the management staff informed of the status, adequacy, and overall effectiveness of the quality management system
  • Lead Quality Management Reviews (QMR) for the Pressure P&L
  • Execute cost of poor quality reduction measures to drive cost reduction and improve competitive position
  • Establish the culture to stop the line; lead resolution of work stoppages to support customer on time delivery
  • Represent Quality on New Product Introduction programs to flow down quality requirements, feedback lessons learned from previous product experience, and ensure smooth transition to production
  • Coordinate internal audits and drive timely closure of findings
  • Provide status of corrective actions and ensure responses are adequate to prevent recurrence of non-conformance


    • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent knowledge and experience
    • Very strong quality or operations experience
    • Some people leadership experience

      • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
      • Black Belt Certified or equivalent Quality certification
      • RCA leadership experience
      • Strong organizational, analytic, and problem solving skills
      • Process mindset with strong focus on implementing sustainable improvements
      • In depth knowledge of fulfilment business processes
      • Prior industry experience and familiarity with Measurement & Sensing products and services
      • Attention to detail, excellent analytical, critical thinking, problem solving skills
