Role Summary:
The purpose of the role is to manage the early phase strategy and engagement to secure opportunities for the BHGE Oilfield Equipment (OFE) group. The objective of the group is to increase the possibilities of securing new contracts through relationship building with customers, understanding their requirements and influencing their execution and specifications through performing Concept, Pre-FEED and FEED studies.

Essential Responsibilities:
• In conjunction with the sales team and leveraging the early customer engagement process to pro-actively set actionable customer strategies in order to maximize future commercial benefits for the customer and Subsea Systems
• Screening potential business deals by researching market strategies, deal requirements and financials
• Increase OFE visibility in the market place through technical presentations to potential customers with a view to performing pre-FEED & FEED studies
• Liaise with Sales to manage the customer interaction and communication plans
• Develop, coordinate and manage technical sales plans, commercial offerings and strategies
• Work with sales, market intelligence and regional teams to determine project viability and/or competitive landscape in order to determine strategies to either unlock marginal opportunities or validate which opportunities to prioritise
• Determine and develop project execution strategies, overall structure and product / partner interfaces
• Co-ordinate overall Field Development solutions as required
• Co-ordinate with Product Management teams to understand the portfolio and strategic company initiatives and determine best product application for each opportunity
• Coordinate with Product Managers to develop New Product Introduction (NPI) & Product Line Extension (PLE) programs in line with customer requirements 
• Identify and engage with strongest supply partners to meet customer’s technical and commercial drivers
• Develop sourcing and manufacturing strategies with functional organizations to meet project requirements
• Participate in trade shows and provide technical competence in customer discussions
• Lead the transactional deal process
• Provide leadership during the deal review process to ensure that all technical risk points, risk mitigation, and business risk acceptance levels are properly incorporated in the development of the scope, cost and proposal wording
• Interface with the Region Sales teams to develop commercial strategies and solutions
• Coordinate the creation of proposals to ensure they align with the agreed pursuit strategy and win themes
• Plan study approach, including team construct, scope, priorities and schedule and organize and manage study execution teams to ensure adequate and qualified resources are in place to produce high quality, on time studies
• Manage seamless handovers to Tendering or Project Execution organisations as determined by the execution strategy
• Lead multi-disciplinary study teams consisting of engineering, commercial, planning and execution
• Act as focal point with customers throughout the execution of studies and ensure commercial and technical aspects are considered and appropriately balanced

• Bachelor's degree in appropriate discipline (e.g. Business Management, Mechanical Engineering) or equivalent knowledge and experience
• Proven experience in commercial and/or technical roles within the Oil and Gas industry (Subsea or SURF preferred)
• Strong Technical Knowledge with Commercial and contractual skills
• Previous experience in consultancy or front-end customer engagement, tendering and team management 
• Relevant experience in sales, commercial operations, risk or market analysis
