Role Summary:
Baker Hughes offers opportunities for qualified people who want to grow in our high performance organization. We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Supervisor –Production to join the Baker Hughes team supporting our Manufacturing Department located at our Oklahoma City facility.
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Works directly in the stator, CNC and rotor production of oil field equipment sold by the company.
  • Assumes the role of supervisor during the supervisor’s absence such as directing operator activities, meetings, etc.
  • Lead the daily work of employees to ensure compliance with health, safety, environment and quality programs.
  • Coordinate activities with supervisor regarding daily duties and long range work schedules.
  • Recommend and schedule overtime as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Maintain department records as required.
  • Perform advanced technical duties as required which includes in a production capacity up to 50%.
  • Requires working overtime and responding to emergency call-outs when necessary.
  • May give feedback on employee’s performance for yearend evaluation purposes.
  • High School Diploma
  • 5 years’ experience in oil field manufacturing.
  • 5 years' experience working with hands on production equipment as well inventory and process scheduling.
  • Full understanding of processes, procedures and safety risks associated with the stator production.
  • Demonstrate leadership and personal discipline in performing all assigned tasks to ensure product quality and safe operation for all employees.
  • Knowledge of products and understanding of QC analysis, performing root cause analysis and make recommended adjustments.
Desired Characteristics: 
  • Prior SAP or other ERP experience is preferred.
  • Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office applications preferred.
  • Prefer some team lead or supervisory experience of staff members.
  • Prior experience within a high stress department with constant employee involvement is highly preferred.
  • Must be flexible to work within a dynamic environment where changes take place every hour.
  • May have to take phone calls during off hours to assist with the production.
  • Key role intended to develop skills necessary for employee to grow into next step as Shift supervisor
