Role Summary:
 
Baker Hughes, a GE company Completions & Wellbore Intervention (CWI) Market Analyst to be based at our CTI facility in Houston, TX.  This market analyst will be responsible for identification of actionable opportunities to drive incremental revenue growth within the Completions Product Line, through the analysis and interpretation of internally and externally sourced market intelligence.
 
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Own Product Line TAM/SAS input, co-ordinate with regions and corporate functions
  • Provide CWI leadership with continual understanding of size and growth of the market, outlining key growth and defensive positions
  • Evaluation of external sources of TAM (Spears, Rystad)
  • Provide analysis and interpretation of customer surveys (Kimberlite, Welling, EnergyPoint)
  • Provide quarterly metrics file evaluating TAM / Revenue / Share across all countries / basins and product offerings
  • Focal point for Product Line Directors / Managers within CWI around market intelligence
  • Handles special projects, as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a degree using extensive qualitative and quantitative research techniques 
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in market research and analytics
  • Minimum 1 year of experience and knowledge of Oilfield Services   
  • Strong knowledge and experience using Microsoft excel and PowerPoint, including advanced formulas
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Self-starter able to manage own workload with minimum supervision
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
  • Business travel between 10 to 15% annually
Desired Characteristics:
  • Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a degree using extensive qualitative and quantitative research techniques
  • Experience and knowledge of the CWI product line
  • Proficient with Microsoft Access, Spotfire, Tableua, SPSS and SAS
  • Experience working with Rystad, Spears, Kimberlite, EIA and other external sources of market intelligence related to oilfield services
