Assist/visit Districts in multiple regions identified as requiring special focus as determined by management. Assist Regional Inventory Coordinators (RIC) with API's, inventory audits or special projects as required. Work with local management and finance to identify SLOB and act as a catalyst to process the necessary paperwork for approval. Provide feedback on disposition of excess inventory. Engage plants to identify specific inventory reduction opportunities. Handle special projects as assigned.
The successful candidate will be joining our Global Logistics Sourcing team. Areas of responsibilities will include:
- Gather, analyze and organize historical data as well as team’s feedback to prepare requests for quotes and pricing (RFQ/ RFP).
- Represent Logistics operations teams with logistics service providers and negotiation platform to source the optimal logistics services.
- Assist logistics operations teams with contracts and agreements.
- Organize and participate in Periodic Business Reviews with key logistics suppliers.
- Review logistics suppliers’ performance and discuss business allocation with the teams.
- Act as escalation point to resolve issues with service providers.
- Lead efforts to create and keep up to date Global Standard Operation procedure.
Act as main point of contact to ensure FCPA certifications and recertification are completed timely for all logistics vendors. Help shape the vendor selection strategy.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
5+ years' experience working in freight-forwarding, pricing negotiations, quotations, transportation environments with a good understanding of associated product lines with a desire to learn trade compliance.
Experience with transportation agreements (i.e. MSA )
Advanced Excel including use of modeling and database functionality.
Exceptional analytical skills and ability to analyze and present statistical data: the successful candidate will need to analyzed large data set and translate them into actionable items
Project management experience and strong organizational and time management skills: the successful candidate must be able to balance multiple projects in a challenging and fast-paced work environment
Knowledge of purchasing practices, principles and procedures.
Knowledge of logistics services.
